if you dont mind me asking. where did you get the RX-8 brake light decal? I've been having problems finding any kind of mods for the 8. I know there isnt much out but still

 

I'm seeing lots of these cool accents in the various threads....where do you guys/gals (girliegirl) get 'em?

 

mazdamaniac sells the brake lights.

rx8fun sells a lot of additional things,such as accents for oil coolers, lip spoilers, etc for a much lower price than anywhere else.

I got my 3rd brake light decal here . It's item #6 on that list. Got my custom side strakes (gunmetal mica color) and custom front/rear rotary accents (ghost aluminum color) from DLS Customs too

 

They got these ALL over eBay. But, what do you guys think about it...it's not cheap looking right? Cause...I wanted to get one...I think it would look COOL!

 

I got mine from DMENAC7, who runs fx8fun, which is now apparently DLS Customs... I recommend going through him- they're excellent quality and it supports a great contributor of this forum. He was the first to develop this, everybody else has been copying him...

BTW, there's two ways to mount it- if you're worried about it looking cheap, do the 'stealth mode' where the logo can only be seen if the brake light is lit... otherwise it looks perfectly stock. I even modded his mod with some polystyrene light diffuser material to make mine look almost like a hologram inside my brake light.

 

Go through D Menac 7. he can do RX-8 or a custom one. i press my brakes with pride now that i have this on it. I posted these on here a little while ago, but just to give an idea about the quality of D Menac 7's work. the camera was crappy, looks better in person.

 

that's right the first one was doen by our very own D MENAC 7. i got mine from him and i guarantee if you do you will not be sorry. dont buy from the ebay bastards who ripped off his idea!

Your brake light mod is very evenly lit across the width. Mine is bright at the center, but fades out at the left and right edges. i.e. the R and the 8 appear less bright than the X.

some people wanted to know where it came from, so, being the all helpful bunch we are, just let them know where the best place is to get it.

 

Where's the fuss? You had no problem self-promoting a decal that you sell... we were just pointing out that most of us got ours from the original developer of the brake light mod.
