queer car..yes...but you must understand the purpose of building this car...some people drag race..some people road race...some people "try" to drift and there are others that compete at car shows... yea it may be over the top, but in a car show its a winner...also keep in mind that you will probably never see this car on the road..it's soul purpose was to be a carpet queen...kinda like how you will probably never see a 8 second honda civic driving down the freeway... yes there was a lot of money spent on this car but he also has sponsers that pay him to be at the shows...

 

Oh I know what the car was made for, and to me a "carpet queen" is a disgusting use of a car. There is no purpose to a car which does not get driven.

All of the other car categories, drag, road, drift are atleast driving the cars, I can respect that.

 

well respect it or not...it's not your car...if you don't like then don't look at it!! but you seem to have a certain interest in it if you keep posting about it...

 

I wasn't posting about it. Infact I haven't come to this thread with the sole intention of posting about the car since my first post. I have come back to respond to other peoples responses to my comments. You told me what the car was made for, I responded too that, that's how forums work.

I will never respect the actual cars, nor the purpose they serve. I will respect the amount of work and creativity put into them, but if they don't drive them, why bother with a car, get a statue.

And this whole idea of uniqueness baffles me. I don't look at these and see something unique, I see something which is just like every other car at these shows, over the top.
It is akin to people who dress all goth because they are fighting conformity and being different, unique if you will. But, they end up looking like every other person who fights conformity in an effort to be unique...in a word, stupid.

 

Just goes to show you they'l put anythig and everything on a civic.
It's still very well done and I have to agree that a car show is a way for car builders to show off what they are capable of. If they warent over the top then why bother. You could go to any body shop and see the same thing.
