Those are nice. Are you going to track it? If not you wasted your money just to be different.

Damn, that looks loooooow. I hope it doesn't crash/bump stop over every little nook on the road tho. How much did it cost for a nice spring/shock combo like the one you went with? PM if you don't feel like blasting out here in public.

Nice gear .. looks hot .. however the guy behind the wheels is what's most important on track... no need to wait ... you don't need anything more....your car, even stock, but now esp. with these the new toys, is perfectly ready to be on track.

In fact, feeling how the car tracks now, as-is, will help you recognize what, if anything, future mods like wheels and tires do for you. Enjoy!

i'm still waiting for a time to go to the track since im so busy with school and I'm still in the middle of making preparations for college

i've taken racing school and i really want to get out to either california speedway or streets of willow to really try out these coilovers but i still go to school 5 days a week and most of my weekends are busy as hell so probably not until summer

Come out for an autocross on a Sunday...would love to see the system in action as well.

Next event is April 1st (yeah, I know, April Fools..but no joke, there is an event scheduled then). Here's the registration info.

pm me if you have any questions about competing on a Sunday, or trying to get into a practice event on a Saturday.

Thumbs up

Ohlins???
You are all in need of some Ö's I can see... ÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖööööööööööö
PM if you need some more...

I will not ask what they cost, but I would not be suprised if they are more expensive here in Sweden (Öhlins is a Swedish company, they asked for a car to test on via the Swedish Miata club when they were working on a set up for the Miata a few years back, but I have not seen any request for Rx-8)

Let us know how your impressions of them!

Cheers, Niclas

Well it's been about a week since I got my coilovers installed and I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed with the complete quality in every aspect of these incredible pieces of engineering. I've been running the suspension at full soft for the past week to get every thing broken-in and the ride is actually a bit softer than stock! One aspect that has truly impressed me though is the fact that when I turn relatively hard, the body almost does not roll at all yet the suspension is softer than stock. I can truly feel every bump on the roads through the steering wheel and a bit through the seat but at full soft the bumps are quite insignificant but I can still feel every aspect. I had the RB sway bars before and the steering response was quite good but now with the coilovers, the car's ability to respond to steering inputs is quite amazing. I was driving around my neighborhood on full stiff and the ride is still not unbearable yet much harder than full soft. Duh...... On full stiff, however, there is still a fair amount of cushioning I think due to the suspension's soft spring rates. The front is only 8kg/mm while the rear is 5kg/mm. Every aspect of these coilovers is amazing and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN ANY SORT OF HIGH-END SUSPENSION! If you've got the money and you want the best, this is by far the best set-up I've ever driven.
