After a relaxing hike with my awesome friend through the cascades on Ortega Highway we came across a Ferrari roadster doing a U-turn near the turnabout where I was parked.

Had a little fun chasing it through the twisties.

I've seen a few Ferrari's around, but i really wanted to see a Lamborghini. Anyway, it seems fun chasing a Ferrari and thanks for showing.

Yea same here. But the last times I was cruising through Ortega I was either driving an '87 626 GT Turbo or a V6 Accord Auto, not exactly able to do much with the 626 but keep up with Honda's and flyby inexperienced drivers. The Honda on the other hand... Well let's just say I used the turnabouts, to let people pass.

 

You're right! It does resemble the 430. Good looking out.

 

What did the Ferrari driver say to you when you guys pulled over? Did he compliment your ability to keep up in the RX-8?

 

He gave me a thumbs up midway into the chase. Other than that we didn't exchange words. I thought he was pulling over to turn around and go again but he pulled over and waved me to pass!!

^ hit up little Tujunga Canyon past Azusa in Sun Valley along 210 Fway.

Anyway, I did a number of midnight runs there in Ortega Hway to Lake Elsinore and back. It's so much fun trying to loose an AUDI S4(probably just an A4 ), but scary specially without moon light. Noticed a few IS-Fs and IS350(250)s going the opossite direction.

 

awesome. i did something similar last year with a z06. the driver was kinda old but it was fun. empty twisty back road. we hit over 100 at times but he got a little squrily in one of the corners. i think it scared him because after that he slowed down
