The turbo install is nothing more than messing with the exhaust manifold, and connecting some pipes in a very small cramped area. There's more to it, but that's what it boils down to.

With the AccessPort solving our fuel management issues, everyone should go turbo. There's no reason not to.
oh ya, I am aware between the complexities of the 2. its more or less concerns of horror and/or ***** stories of shop work that you hear as an individual that concern you when doing any work. my only point being, I actually see the care that charles put into working on your block and eases any worries that I may have had.

Wow it's nice to know what actually happened after all this time. Awesome to see what a turbocharged renesis looks like after being boosted for 25+ thousand miles.

no. I wasn't even aware that could happen.

the housings are brown/discolored in a few spots, but the metal is absolutely smooth and very shiny. It just depends on the viewing angle of the camera if that is apparent or not.

BUMP -- for those that missed this or hadn't seen it before

I think this is a major poke in the eye for the folks that argue against pure synthetic in their engine!

Since my rebuild a couple years ago we have discovered the '04-'05 models to have had low OMP volumes as delivered from the factory and there are now suspicions of the OMP metering rods being prone to wear over time, which also reduces the injection volume, if I understand correctly.
If that's the case, would you recommend premixing?

I just bought my 8 last month with 55k on the engine and am running 10w40 dino. Tempted to switch to synthetic and premix.

I have no idea if he premixed or not. I doubt it.

It's an 05.

Would there be any advantage in switching to pure synthetic at this point?
