well my buddy went head on with a snowplow at 25 and the only thing left of the car basicaly was the carbonfiber hood which only had a stratch so i would say its pretty nice, and as far as a real high gloss on the cf finish the whole kit has 3 fresh coats of clear beings im taking the time to repaint it a custom color i went ahead and made the cf look glossy better for shows

i think it depends on the quality of the carbon fibre.

but i think generally it'll be better in accidents b/c the carbon fibre will absorb all the impact and just destroy the body parts.

that's the crappy part about cf, cant see it break normally until it's completely broken, and crazy hard to repair.... either that or... just $$

everytime i've seen that kit, it fit like ****. One guy had to take that kit to the body shop several times just to get it decent looking.

i dont see a way of working on fixing the issue of the front end lining up...there are others that have been burned by this company on cf......it is what it is my friend and i seriously doubt you will have a resolution to your issues

more power to you if you can get it to fit nicely. i'm looking forward to seeing the end product and truly hope you are able to get the fitment issues ironed out without too much hassle.

Just curious what rotary shops you know of in Indiana?

Also it might be a drive for you but there is always A-spec in chicago. They seem to be pretty well liked by the 7 guys.

that's the problem with carbon fiber- if it doesn't fit, you can't really do anything about it unless you can reshape and mold CF, but that would be costly, not to mention good luck matching the original pieces weave even if you can. Otherwise the only way you're gonna get an OEM fit is to add fiberglass and top it with a layer of dry CF.

He said he was gonna paint the CF anyway didn't he??? So matching the weave doesn't really matter.

ugh man, another poor victim of carbon creations. I had originally tried to go with their MS knockoff, even in urethane, when I got it was complete and total ****, neither bumper fit, and the front didn't even have mounting holes! I love the idea of you going carbon on everything, but I would have never have wasted time or money on such a travesty of a company and such a joke of a product, hopefully you can get it all worked out and it comes out okay, but by the time you get to that point the money and time spent could have been used to perfect a kit that already fits properly. Good luck with all that, I'm not posting to give you ****, (I'm really not, hopefully your car comes out good) I'm just posting to warn people not to buy from these guys, they're crooks, their kits DO NOT fit worth a ****, and they will not help you if you try and get a refund/exchange. Worst company/kit out there for the 8, period. /rant

If u ever in a race track, They will tell u about the safety regulation. Loosing a few weight in a sports car is good just not too many. It'll throw off the weight balance. That's why they usually weigh u'r car before allowing u to race.
