My '07 is also a Crystal White and I can't tell the difference either... but it's annoying, because "Crystal White Pearl" doesn't seem to be an option when choosing colors for authentic Mazdaspeed kits, so I'm always afraid that when I do eventually order a piece, it won't match.

We had a meet recently and a guy had a white base auto and the color did not have the pearl affect or flake. I thought so at the time but didn't wanna mention it and him feel insulted. Another member has a white 07 GT and the color looked great with the flake and all. I knew there was a difference. At least to me it was obvious anyway.

Sounds like a re-paint. Our paint isn't cheap to apply They may have just repainted it regular white.
The difference between WWP and CWP is so hard to tell, it really takes a direct bright sun and both cars next to each other. The Crystal white pearl has a more flake than the WWP.
At least the CWP I compared mine with.
It is certainly viable that the only difference is in who mixed the paint that day at the factory
Bottom line: It's still the best color

i'm saving up for some rims (: i was thinking works XT-7's. and as for a drop i'm still debating. i want to close up that wheel gap but my bumper is already pretty low. i've got some time to think about it though. put a pause on the modding until summer.
