im thinking of refinishing my wheels, as in repainting the center part and repolishing the lip. i just dont know what color i should go with.
im kinda leaning towards just going with black again, maybe a more metallic black this time, what do you guys think?
right now they are a high gloss black, no metallic just straight black.

For a change, compliment the gloss, with a matte. Personally, (and I like white - very very much) I'd get the spokes painted dark, matte, titanium (with blue tint).
If it where my car... I'd go out and review leather... yes, leather, why? am I crazy? just listen to this crazy idea! - If it where me, I'd find gorgeous titanium blue leather (re-upholster the front seats) , and then color match my rims, my strakes, and some misc accents around the car.
Why? it tells a story with a little bit of color that blends well between the white base and the silver details. The dull titanium would be a rich color to complete the story between the white and silver.
I think your car - much like many white rx8s - have a "clean cut" appearance. All the curves of the car really stand out, even from a distance, and yet the color isn't aggravating subconsciously (like a VR with gold wheels).
PS: this is one of my favorite RX8 pictures:

ive thought about it but i still kinda think it looks cleaner without them
The shiny black looks like a white tux with high polished shoes. It's well dressed.

contrasting colors like gunmetal or hyperblack is what i would go to if i was bored of the black. even if you think the gloss black is getting old, it isnt to everyone else that looks at your car. thats where im headed with my car is black and white. i think no matter the car those are always 2 super clean looking colors.

Hey Beauge, your not the first person i seen with those Eyelids. Can you direct me to where I can get some of those? And I agree RIWWP, why does the WWP come out just white? Even when i waxed the crap out of it. Like, i get fustrated sometimes looking at how shiny it is in person and then i say "hmmm I'm gonna take a picutre of it" yet it comes out just regular white haha.

BMP form it is close to 9mb in size. Less resolution when the pic is taken and it just has the general glow that the mica causes, but no detail.
Gorgeous in person under the lights, artificial or not

they are genuine kei office eyelids. i picked them up off ebay actually. i think they were close to $80 canadian. i had heard of them before but once i found out they were discontinued(think the company went out of business) i picked them up. apparently this guy had bought 2 sets for 2 rx8's but didnt install one set.
