Ronn takes great care of his car.

(If you look in trunk you will find car cleaning supplies for removing bugs and polishing).

It is no different than mine which is the silver next to it in the pic. (Except for the splitters and the fog lights )

He has been getting hassled from a town police officer about his license plate not being on the front bumper. That will be remedied soon with a custom bracket.

hassled, what is the state law? In Texas I think it is vague and just has to be visible from the front I think. If you did not have the plate on the visor he probably wouldn't have noticed. I have never had a front plate and it has only been brought up once with a warning. I think the car looks great without the plate.

Yeah, you definitely would not want it. It would block the passenger side oil cooler.

Guys, thanks for nice complement on my car. This is my first new car and I do take really good car of it. It may sound crazy walking around the car with windex and a napkin to clean off bugs but that is what I always do...People at work think that I am crazy too but I don't mind.

My front bumper is the Mazdaspeed bumper, the real one. The rims are Wedsport SA10. They are 17" but they are light and don't look small at all. I got them from Tire Rack along with the Bridstone Ponzana 245 size. I have light weight lugnuts on the wheel also. Suspension is Koni sport Yellow which 4 Years to Supercharge help install on my car.

About the cop...I think I met all of them already....the ones that work in my town that is...I had the new bracket made over the weekend. The holes are drilled from underneath the bumper so there won't be nasty holes visible from the front. I still have to get use to the way it looks...I got pick on by cops and there is nothing much I can do...This is what happen when you don't look your age and drive around in a red flashy car. Most cops think I am a high schooler...when I told them I am an engineer they just don't believe me...

Yes, the law is Vague and I argue with cops so many time to be more specific of how and where the plate should be mounted. Mine is infront of the car just like what it asks but it is not good enough. I have cops in my area labeled me as "suspect" and there isn't a red RX 8 in the area so that make it easy for them to spot me on the road. It is suck to get pick on....

I don't like the Mazdaspeed side skirts that much. It makes the car look too "thick" and heavy. I mostly want performance oriented parts and I add the mazdaspeed front bumper because I don't like the stock nose. Those skirts are very expensive!
