Damn. Every time I get tired of the MS front, I see a clean VR that makes me want one again. And are my eyes deceiving me, or is the rear valence painted black? I might have to give that a shot...

Wheels and ride height are perfect. What's it lowered on and wheel specs?

Chad,

It's Hoss-05's car. It just came out of the body shop and will not go lower until he gets back from the dessert and decides he wants it lower. Honestly it's very low with the way the MS sides and front sit and I couldn't imagine driving it any lower and I am very experienced driving lowered cars and I plan my routes beforehand.

Stray,

Those are not the Mazdaspeed rears Just the authentic front and sides. The car is on Stance coilovers with custom spring rates and Forgestar F14's 18 x 10" +42 and Nitto NT-05 tires sized 265/35-18.

Hoss's car is soon to be boosted VIA a Hymee SC and will have a laundry list of supporting mods throughout the car. My car should be running by tomorrow and then it too will get some paintwork. SARX will hopefully soon have the two fastest VR street driven RX-8's around

Thanks for the nice complements on my ride guys and for the Great pics 9K.

Rims are 18x10 forgstar f14s in +42. I have 10mm spacers that will go on when I get around to it. Rear Valence is not painted. My ride height is 13" in the front and 13.5" in the rear. it looks much lower with the MS kit at this ride height then it did without at the same height. Car is currently lowered on Stantz GR+ but that will change soon. I am not real happy with the current set up.

(could be lower though) lol
Neah. plenty low enough. I may drop the rear the other half an inch when my new suspension set up gets here. I have to be able to drive the car on and off a base every once in awhile and the speed bumps are bad.

Speed bumps have not been a problem at this height (the ones in the neighborhood are pretty high) but inclines and declines are problematic so lowrider driving skills are needed to make it unscathed

The Mazdaspeed kit does make getting the car on four jack stand interesting though even with my race ramps.

Yep SARX will have some Bad *** VR's and is proud to have done most of the work in our garages. Now I just need to get my R3 and myself home so I can start wrenching on the hard core go fast parts.

man that is a good looking SI car and I REALLY like those wheels. The only car that looks better is the Red R3 IMHO

HAHA Thanks Denny! The R3 will look nice parked next to the 05 (Raul) in my driveway

Its hard to see in pictures but the lips on the mazdaspeed kit and rear RB side extensions are painted to match the rims.

^Looking entirely sharp.

Making it so hard to decide between keeping it clean looking with the stock body, and getting the MS kit.

I ultimately doubt I will, just because of how many times I get stuck having to go over a bump or something I can't clear at any angle. Already broke my rear mudflaps, lol.

Oh heck yea. On the roof are a couple imperfections from previous owner not cleaning bird droppings or such. Plus the usual wear of 72K miles on a car. For the most part she's like new though.

foo, those rears are the Racing beat ones. They have a custom painted "lip" on them to match the MS sides and front. I did not like the MS rear and wanted to try something different. It worked out well.

The grayish paint you see is actually matched to my rims. The front and rear emblems are going to be painted to match along with the hardware on a MS spoiler. So hopefully by Christmas all the body mods will be done and I can finally re-work the suspension for the third time before starting on some fun engine stuff.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you find those rears(aside from racing beat's website)? I hella want a pair of those now

You can find them with many different vendors. I like ordering direct as they give me a government discount. I think Goodwin has a bunch of there stuff on sale this week. The body shop that did the work claims that they had to do a bit of work to the parts to make them fit right but I am not sure what they did.

There are a few places that sell them new. PM me if you want more info. Last I was told (about three months ago) there were only a dozen or front bumpers left in country still new.
