Mazda historically only offered a yellow model for the first production year run. Rx-8 LY's were only offered for 2004.

Anyway,,, Nice to see another Ly and that's a good pic for a cell phone!

 

thats what i was told from the previous owner.
ill check again to see. because this only have 30k miles on it.

Mazda discontinued LY after the 04 model year. You can check by looking at the tag on the drivers side door jamb. It will tell the date your 8 was built. A black windshield washer tank is also a sign of an 2004 as is the info on your title.

Nice LY's..... I love that the '04 was the ONLY year of our color. I lost count of the many times I get asked if my car was painted a custom color... I giggle!

 

i wish it was custom painted.

Those are the Mazdaspeed skirts, right? I have the factory style, but their rounding over means they've picked up quite a bit of road crud in visible locations. Give me curled outward any time.

Hey everybody, just got my lightning yellow 8 a couple months ago, 2nd hand and completely stock 2004. I'm from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. There are only 3 yellows here that I know about. Here are a couple of pictures of my car:

On the 12th pic, I noticed the Mazdaspeed emblem above the RX-8 emblem. Your's isn't a Mazdaspeed RX-8 is it? I thought they never produced them. Or is it just badged?

Uhm... I guess it was a little bit fast... but I had a lot of help from the RX8 Club here in Malaysia (www.rx8clubmalaysia.com). Joining their gatherings kinda made me want to make sure that my car wasn't one of the few stock cars ...

Just got my INGS rears (diffuser?) and R-Magic eyelids yesterday. Sent them to the paintshop, and should fit them in soon. Will post pictures when it is done.

I see some of y'all have carbon fiber bonnets... dude those are sick! Wish I could have them, but my 8 is a daily drive and I don't think it would be appropriate to meet my clients....
