Is it noticably lighter?

Cody, I would think no since the alum hood on the 8 is already very light. with all those vents even though CF is lighter, there is a lot more material...... guess we will have to wait to see what he says.

Thanks Cody. I like it to It looks like I will be keeping it for the time being. maybe in a year or so I will re think about getting the Evo.

(right now the car is worh 21,300 and I owe exactly that. I want to go into the evo with a nice down payment from the RX-8, so I will just have to wait.... no biggy.)

Mazdaspeed still does not qualify since it is not factory Mazda. IF there were a MAZDASPEED verssion of the RX-8 that would be one thing, but right now its considered an aftermarket part. I have treid. my wing is accually illigal, but no one has been mean enough to complain yet. we are running the ProSolo next weekend (part of the reason we are to busy to play XBOX right now ) and they WOULD complain so I will have to pull the top deck off just for that race. :/

 

ahh, I see. Getting an Evo would be cool. Sucks about the MS stuff.

Anywho, lemme know (post on the xbox live thread) when ya'll are free to play some Forza and/or some Duty.

No! EVO for the lose! Yellow RX8s are Superior to everything..honest!

The sad thing is, when Forza 2 comes out there STILL wont be any good real word mods to put on it, I bet, still just a 13b swap out!

 

Cody, California style, look slike its going to be keeping the RX-8 for now. maybe in a year or so I will look to switch over.

no biggy, just gives me a nother year to love and enjoy my RX-8.

 

Speaking of Forza and Yellow RX-8s, thought I'd repost a few pics of my Forza RX-8. It's a reproduction of the Grand Am ST Championship winning #70 SpeedSource car.

 

OMG! that must have taken you ages!

I was retuning the Forza game yesterday to make the RX8 run like mine.

I added the pulley mod, the light flywheel and short shifter and the mk2 tires, then retuned the gearing so that the gears reflect real life better... The games changes are all wrong cos the game was out pre RX8 I think....

thats awsome! I made an RX-8 look like my car..... well except I dont have a body kit and the forza car does. but I got the grafics right.

 

Must of taken forever. Those rotors look really neat. We def. need to have another Forza/Duty day. I'm just waiting for a good day for ya'll.

oddly enough, the EARLY prototype that R&T tested was a yellow 8 with yellow inserts. I thought it looked pretty awesome too. I wonder why it was a no-go.
