Spoiler. Big time find yourself a spoiler. The Rx-8 to me is SO naked without one. Other than that, she's a beaut.

 

I disagree. It looks like he lowered his car, and a spoiler would ruin that "fresh" look.

 

A spoiler would look nice, but I have a carbon fiber trunk. Does anybody know if a spoiler would crack my trunk. What kind of spoiler could I put on it? I like the EVO wing but I don't know how that would look on my car. Any suggestions?

Theres a wing from Rmagic. Not a good picture but just search for Rmagic wing on these forums and you should find some better pics.

 

Thanks \\Konig\\. One thing I was wondering though is if putting holes in the carbon fiber trunk and having a wing on it would cause the trunk to crack.

any news on the number of yellow eights shipped to the US . i was not sure when i picked the yellow 2 years ago but NOW i would not have any other color. i NEVER see a yellow one and i love it.

 

It's almost like owning an exotic sports car.

It screams for your attention, you only see one a couple times a month, and no one else in a 10 mile radius has one (unless you're unlucky).

But the best part is when you run into these brand new RX-8 owners out there who pull up to you and tell you they love your "custom" paint job. Bahahahaha.

The only times I ever regret swapping from Titanium Gray to Lightning Yellow is when I get pulled over by the pigs.

I rang Mazda Australia , they were kind enough to tell me that they sold 87 Lightining yellow to date 67 manual and 20 Automatics

The total sales of RX8'S here in Australia is around 5000 in 3 years

roughly 57 other colors are sold before they sell another yellow! (in Australia)

 

When the rx8 debuted and literally right until I bought my rx8 in April of 05, I saw more yellow rx8's than any other color. If I saw 3 rx's a week, two of them would be yellow. I honestly thought it was going to be a me too color, but ever since purchasing my 8, I have seen only one yellow and that was like a month after I got my car. LOL...where did all the lightning yellows dissapear too?

 

This is my 2004 with navigation and all the options. These are my custom 18 inch wheels. They are staggered. 40 series tires on the front and 35 series on the back. I don't have any mods done to it and probably wont. It doesn't need any in my opinion, except for maybe a K&N. I had an 01 Mustang GT convertible that was really fast and this car runs the same quarter and 0-60 time.

 

I emailed Mazda last year but they said they don't have the numbers available for the US. They obviously have them somewhere, I wish MNAO was as friendly as Mazda Australia on this stuff. Seems like it would be good PR to supply the data to enthusiasts. I'll bet 1000-1500 is about right, but Mazda didn't set specific production numbers like the Shinkas.

Nice car, Padrino. Did you have the rear valence painted or did the dealer do it?

 

Another Q on the rear valence. Do you leave the "mesh" in or was it cut out. I can't tell from here. Too Far away !

I bought the car used so I dont know if the dealer did it or not.

 

Everything looks the same its just painted yellow. It also has the polished rotor accent.

 

Those rims look friggin amazing on our yellow Padrino...great taste man.

Thread has been dead a while, so thought I would go ahead and bring it back with my own yellow 8. Finally got my rims and Mazdaspeed kit all put on, so thought it was finally worthy of posting
