welp, i hacked my own photobucket (it had been so long since i had used it i couldn't even remember my login name lol) and have some photos of the car as it sits today. it went from stock to what you see in this photos in just about 2-3 months. bought the car and immediately put on a rotary performance resonated midpipe, got jic flt-tar coilovers, hotchkis sway bars, AWR adjustable endlinks in june, july the car was at mazda with a busted shift fork, and in august carbon fiber hood, trunk, interior pieces, JIC 4-pt. strutbar, simota carbon fiber intake, and exoticspeed R1-T cat-back:
and this is from Turkey Drag 2009, a 2-day show centered around mini-trucks and bagged trucks but one of 5 cars that still made top 150 of the show. She's been to 5 shows and has 6 trophies or plaques to show so it's done quite well lol
hope you guys enjoy!

Car is sweet, i love it specially the carbon hood with the blue color :D !!!
But that Simota intake is bad choice if cold air not well driven to it, i would prefer the Racing Beat Revi + Air Duct or the Mazdaspeed/AEM intake much more effective in terms of performance with great "cooling". (sorry for explanation i'm french).

That's because it's a 2010. The 2010's don't have the Mazda badge on the back. If it's a 2009, that's weird.
I just noticed you have clear corner lights/reflector things. They look nicer than the orange we have over here.

Yep. It was purchased already powdercoated blue. If you look harder you will find one. Im sure there are vendors on this forum who could get you one as well. Good luck!

As with any other intake on the RX-8's i seriously doubt there's more than 1-3 rwhp gain at the most. Honestly, it gives a really nice sound and deepens the engine tone a bit. the only real way to get any "reasonable" (and i say "reasonable" because well, on these cars we'll spend $500 to get 3-4 rwhp lol) would be a fully boxed in intake with the REVi air duct as another member posted about my intake.
The big reason for the intake I have is that i do realize the intakes are minimal if any real gains and the CF intake pulls the hood, trunk, and spoiler CF into the engine bay a bit and just kinda ties it all together to me.
