the 2nd day i had my car i went to rotary performance in Garland which is a 10 minute drive from where i bought my car (mesquite) and got their race mid-pipe. just put Eibach pro-kit on the car last night, have Hotchkis front and rear sways with AWR adjustable endlinks on the way, and axial flow shifter sitting at my shop that i'm putting in tomorrow...and i've been trying to get the Exoticspeed R1-T cat-back ordered since the day i bought my car but i can't seem to get the order to go through for whatever reason

welp, I couldn't sleep so i went out to the shop tonight to put the shifter in the car and found out that apparently they have changed in 09. I knew the reverse lock out had changed from the "right and down" to the "left and up" (which was the first thing i really noticed about the car whenever i got in it as i had an 04 VR back in 04).
I hoped the shifter would be the same, but I apparently am sadly mistaken. I'm going to try to contact Axial flow and see if i can send them my stock shifter and allow them to make the shifter for the new 2009+ RX-8's.

Here's a larger pic of mine taken by a friend who is a photographer out his drivers window while driving at 80 mph nonetheless.

gah...taking a look at these photos makes me realize how high they sit from the factory (or how slammed my car is now) lol
with the JIC flt-tar coilovers i have, literally, just enough space that i don't ever rub with 245/35-19 nitto nt-05's all the way around. I can't even fit one finger in the gap without going at a bit of an angle.
