I cut the rear of the bumper and placed mesh...also I cut the rear of the exhaust heat sheild to expose the rear of the exhaust.

Your front and rear seem a couple shades off of the rest of your car.

 

Thanks brettus the intercooler position is working good so far hopefully towards the end of summer I'll have some real track data

 

i see gregs car all the time, trust me you cant see the color difference in person unless you are in the worst lighting conditions! pics always exaggerate the difference.

like the work on this are you mounting the inter-cooler in line in front of the radiator, like how you can see the exhaust

Other people have done it. I considered doing it a while back too but never got around to it. Regardless, I think real mesh + cutting the exhaust shield looks awesome.

 

Hmm, in such case, I will post my results! Since my car is getting so much work done on it anyways.

 

Haha just like tilt mentioned others have cut the rear bumper..but I don't think I have seen anyone cut the heat sheild...I look foward to seeing yours (look foward to seeing more modded 8's) no hate coming from me.

 

this is a older picture but really no changes (yet) working on a few engine bay changes..i'll post more once i complete the change..

 

Nice!! I suppose that intake is no longer sold? I hate having all those nipples on the Mazdaspeed intake that fits awkwardly

 

the intake is no longer sold (Mazsport) since the company went under, it does have a cleaner look
