what the hell is going on here.... "blue eyes" , why are you going nuts on this kid? Do you have a history with him or something because I just read the entire thread and your being pretty harsh with him...??
Let him use his car in anyway he feels, if his main purpose is to "get attention" then let it be. Why should we care and flame this kid for that prime reason? This thread is seriously rediculous, it truly makes me sad to even post in it because of all the rude hostility this kid has gotten.

I thought Blue Eyes first post was great. Haha, I think I might make that video he suggested next time I'm bored at work. I didn't think it was really inflammatory. Then again, I have more post per day that No Tears and RX Zoom Zoom so maybe I'm just a douche as well. Anywho, I love the idea of cheesy movie previews/commercials in general.
My favorite RX-8 video is that Top Gear one (which isn't on Google Video anymore) where Jeremy Clarkson goes "It's got a great engine, it makes a great noise, it goes like stink, it's very comfortable, it's practical, it's well priced, and it's well equipped...and then there's the really good stuff." I smile just thinking about it.
So, this is a little off topic, but I was thinking about this the other day while daydreaming at work. My idea for a commercial would be this:

- 1 second tight shot of the tach with the rpm's about 5k (sound of engine at this rpm)
- text fades in "most sports cars only have 2 seats and 2 doors..." (heart beat sound)
- 1 second tight shot of the tach with the rpm's about 8k (sound of engine at this rpm)
- text fades in "most sports cars would already have had to shift by now." (heart beat sound)
- 1 second tight shot of the tach with the rpm's about 9k (sound of engine at this rpm)
- shots of 8 being driven around aggressively like on the top gear video interspersed with text like "engine of the year" and fancy quotes from Top Gear, C&D, etc. (exciting techno music)
- text fades in "come experience a new kind of sports car"
- text fades in "the rotary powered Mazda RX-8"
- text fades in "zoom zoom"
