I have ordered Leg Sports parts through JapanParts and there is no issues coming to your front door. You have to be willing to pay.

In addition JapanParts offers an option to deliver through GreyHound. You have to the pick up the part at the bus station but it saves you money and take more time.
yeah the process is a PITA, how much did you pay in shipping?

Greyhound? o.O yeah im not going to let some traveling ignoramis with Thing 1 and Thing 2 on leashes near my dam hood lol.

For those talking about prices from JapanParts.com. No idea what is on sale though so you will have to go to their site. Still going to be expensive but the opportunity is there to save some cash.

I received an email from them yesterday and they have a sale going on.

Dear valued customers,

Big thanks for your always purchase from us!

The sale for OEM parts starts today.
ALL OEM parts 10% discount!
**Note: Points are not given. Please pay by Paypal, Visa, Master or Bank transfer.
For Amex and Diners, please! please!! pay through Paypal.

Up to 53% discount to all the aftermarket parts still continues!!
All price is very competitive. This is a great chance.

its seems you save about $100 off the OG price. which isnt bad, considering that you are buying from a company that actually ships to the US (LegSports doesnt).

If I could find a way to ship it to my house for anything less then half the price of the hood I would put it on order tomorrow.

JapanParts was the only company I could find to import parts from Leg Sport. I did a lot of searching around before placing my order.

Also I do not have the hood from Leg Sport. I have their front lip. I do not recall the exact price but I believe shipping was around $300.

It looks like a lot $3,500 for a CF hood....but thats the price you pay for CF from Japan, and its the only one of its kind that has TRUE airflow engineering thought behind it.

lol where do you live? I can get a *ROUGH* state quote for you

There is no cheap way of getting JDM stuff here, especially large items. The shipping is going to be about the same no matter if you get it from JP, Auto-Styles, Nengun, Touge Distribution RHD etc. Shipping for a hood is a killer. Shipping prices from JP are pretty consistent nationwide with JP, so your location shouldn't matter too much. Pickup at nearest airport is not always an option. I believe JP is still sending over stuff in 1 container a month. At least that's what JP wrote to me in an email back in Sept. $2700 for a hood that no one has, and there aren't any replicas of yet. It's up to you bro.

Why don't u guys just get an importing company that specialise in car parts to import straight from the manufacturer in japan for you. Im sure theres a business near your location to do the work for u. Japanparts is just another middle man to pay money to. Do the research you might save thousands . Make sure they include taxes and hidden costs though.

cause LegSports charges $1627 for the hood, so if they can deliver the hood, for less than $1100, to my door i will research it more.

Its really to bad I am not still in the military, I could otherwise have it shipped through those channels. Shipping from one military site to another is very cheap.

Someone either needs to figure out a way to ship this thing for cheap, or make an awesome replica!

Or we could see if we could get a group buy to set up a deal?

The other hoods with the vent just lets the hot air rise up and escape, this forces the hot air to out the top.

The scoop is low profile and conforms to the hood instead of sticking up like a tumor lol

This hood is definetly extremely functional, especially if your boosted. Which I will be by this summer. If I can get my hands on this for a deal or we can find someone to make a high quality replica, I'm all over this!

This is for the FRP version if you guys want to save a little money. It's 1900+ shipped- I am more interested in that Leg rear diffuser.

That diffuser is really nice.
FRP is nice and is good for when you are replacing the hood. Thank you for the input, i forgot they sold them in FRP >.< I should ask them if that is an option that we can go too.

But like most girls, my needs to go on a CF diet (shes too fat)

Just to not clutter this thread anymore that it has been:https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...72#post4181272
