New lights
Ok, I have one side done... this is a hell of a lot harder than i thought... So it took a day and a half to do one, I wish I had it installed on the car and all my lights in, Im actually waiting on new Xenons, so ill install when they get here, so dont pass complete judgment just yet.
the first pics is with them off, and YES they are installed in this pic, look what 1200 bucks gets ya from mazda, a nice new headlight assembly.
the second is on, I have drilled and mounted them under the headlight baffle, I took a pic with the flash on, but it looked bad, wait till the install...
It might not be to everyones liking but hey, I tried and I think it turned out damn good

I m still not convinced,,, from personal experience of baking apart a spare set of headlights that I have, where youve put your lights, there is no room. Even if you put them under the recessed lip that follows the contor of the housing, thats stil covered up by the bumper... And even if you did manage this you should not have drilled the housing thats what keep moisture out, your gonna have bad condensation build up on the inner face of the headlight....
PS- you can get used headlights off of Ebay for about $300-$400 for a set,,,,

what is it youre not convinced about....? i didnt bake them apart, and the few holes i drilled too deep and went through, i filled with acrylic resin. I learned from my mistake, i originally started from the parking light, but I had to start later with the lights becasue of my boo boo. And i used smt's not led's so i would have the room to do it.

im half convinced theyre gonna be badass. gotta see a pic of at least one mounted, but i think you have success. if you really seal up the holes you drill, you should be good

to me this looks like a reflection of some kinda of stadium lighting with the high light source on the fender as well... and why are the lights in a different position in the second pic??? because the camera is in a defferent position???
Anyone else think these photos are suspect? with the quality I really cant see where the lights physically are...
If you end up producing decent pics then I rescend everything Ive said but until then this doesnt look real...

hey, im just curious, are you going to continue the lights all the way to the corner of the headlamp where the hood meets the corner? sorry if that is not clear. or has that one side been already completely finished?

Just looks like a Christmas decoration to me but hey, you will be spreading holiday cheer throughout the year! And think, when X-mas actually comes around, you can put in green and red lights, its a win win![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
LOL, sorry man i dont mean to **** on ur party. No more cracks from here on out. The idea of lights like these bordering the Xenon lense housing seems a lil more appealing to me than bordering the outer lens. Just an opinion.

I was going to wrap them all the way to hood, or in front of the parking lamps, but i messed up on one of the holes, and then filled it with an acrylic epoxy/resin. It ended up messing up the underneath of the housing, i didnt think it would matter, but it did. The resin made it look like the was just a bunch of crap underneath the housing, the light picked itup and it looked like ****, The reason it took so long to do one is...
... I messed up the housing with that epoxy ****, and i spent like 3-4 hours, sanding and buffing, and sanding and buffing, trying to make it nice again, but it still looked like crap with the light by it. So, that kinda ruined that plan, and I dont have another 1200 bucks for the light.
... For the ppl that said it looks like a fake pic or whatever, Ill post a video of everything up and running, close ups and all.
