hmmm...love it on the Audi. not too sure on the 8. it's like getting the bimmer's angel eyes on an 8. maybe better pics will do it justice?

good job with the installation though!

I have to agree 100%. When I first saw this, all I thought of was Audi. Regardless, its the first time Ive seen someone do their own so I have to give credit, it looks pretty cool.

I like the idea...but the reason why I like the Audi's lights is hard to explain.

In the R8 pics...you notice that you can see the light strip CLEARLY from the front...at any angle. Mostly because the headlights were built around this concept. Plus...the uneven curve of the headlight makes it even sexier.

The RX-8 headlight doesn't have this curve...OR angle so the light strip is kind of off a little bit. It would probably take a lot of time to get that angle. Know what I mean?

I Like it. Good job/Thumbs up on doing a modification yourself. Those are always the most fun to work on

Are you planning on doing this for the community, or possibly a DIY like swoop stated earlier?

such a bassakwards statement...

so is deloren ricer since it had gullwing doors for copying lambo or is it lambo who is rice for copying deloreon? (persoanlly i don't care which person did it first. my point is made. clarification is moot)

Maybe it's FORD who is rice for copying the whole covered wagon idea of 4 wheeled vehicles carrying people around from place to place... Hmmmm

So many cars out there today borrow design influence from each other.

RICE = Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements

But to each his own i guess... opinions and ********...

The lights look great. nice job on them!

Absolutely! The R8 light curve is exquisite ...very Furai actually, with a nice flowing nature to it. But working with the 8 has that's not an option, and there really is no place to mount LEDs at the headlight anyway. The LED position I used are very visible in daylight, at any angle. I'll add some daylight pics later.

Colorwise, I know it's not what most prefer, but I don't care for clearcorners w/ VR, so the warm white LEDs shown match the OEM look. Otherwise using bright white LEDs would match clearcorners well.

...also as I said, pm me for DIY, I've not done it yet, but will when I'm satisfied with what I've done.
