I think it's necessary on an 8, the line from the trunk all the way to the front looks way too straight with clear windows. I think the dark really breaks that up and makes it look curvier

looks like some fitment issues around the clear corner? or is that just the pic?

 

It's prob. because the bumper is not authentic.
