Honestly that's what it is. You feel that torque for the GTI. But it's not faster. Not stock anyways. It could be with just a few mods though.
Anyways, they are both nice. And yes, you need to take off your traction control. Drop the clutch at 4500 rpm and get back to me. Don't let the smoothness of the rotary deceive you. It's quick. It's not the fastest car in the world. But, it holds its own.

hmm...how often do you park this car in a plaza on Sawtelle Blvd? I used to take the street during the summer, on my way to my summer job in Westwood, and would see this 8 parked there every week. The first time i saw...almost got in an accident because i kept staring, lol.

Of course, that's how magazines got their 5.8 0-60 times but hey.... they did that because they don't own the car!

your Rx-8 looks very good. in fact. it's got me thinking thoughts about mine that i never had before. i like that nose and the CF hood and trunk. i had already decided to go with a CF hood, but the trunk looks pretty nice, too. say, where'd you buy the wheel lugs?
anyway, i love Dubs, too, so i like your GTI (even though i'm more of a Mk1 man, myself).
