So today was a nice day, decided to take some pictures with a friend of mine, his 03 S2000 (stock except for rims) and my 05 RX8 (fully stock)

As we both lack any sort of photography skills, these are the best, I tried to take some closeups of the HIDs (I love HIDs) in shady areas for both cars, but they didn't turn out too good.

 

looks nice. wish i had a friend with a nice car whom i could do a photoshoot with as well.

Just stand by your car at ssx then take some pix with other people next to there cars

Do they really share the same transmission? Which company makes them? I'd love to look up the specifications on how strong the transmission is (as often the company will post the max tolerances of the transmission)

My old Sentra SER shared the transmission with the Tiburon, and I believe the celica, both other cars had MUCH smoother shifts than any nissan cars that used the transmission.

 

Truth be told fd's and se's do not share the same tranny. Dont know about the s2k's.

 

I've been reading that the S2K's Tranny and the RX-8 Tranny's are from the same manufacturer.

I believe the S2000 uses the same Aisin A-1 Y6M gearbox as our '8.

I remember looking at pictures of the two transmissions (RX-8 vs S2000) and they looked different but I guess the internals are the same.

I thought you said your 8 was completely stock. I spot cross drilled rotors in photo 6. Just the same nice car.

 

i was about to say that but you beat me to it. any idea what kinda rotors those are for the people that might be interested?

 

no idea they came with the car when I bought it.

But cross drilled = bad for cold winters, so I'm gonna purchase just regular slotted ones to put on with fresh pads.

 

AP1 and SE3 P looks really good together. Reminded me of a picture i once took. here it is, I hope u dont mind me sharing.

 

nice, I think the S2000 and the 8 are a great bang for the buck sports car

 

INSPIRE: Nice except for the purple lights...those things must suck at night time for visibility.
