8 on the lift and my "new" engine

Went to the dealer to see how the progress was and took some pics. If I had gotten there earlier I would have seen them pull it.

Nice! I wasn't before, but now, seeing your pictures, I hope I get a new one, too.

Ahh the plastic engine box. I've seen a few of those at my dealer. Hope it works out alright.
Mine passed the test.

depends on how you look at it... haha, good thing, new engines are always good things. bad thing would of been if there was a lot to the engine, aftermarket wise... then all that would of went down the drain but yeah, depends on how you look at it.

Yup!

Hmmm, now would be a good time to replace your clutch and flywheel if they let you, save a few dollars. ($300)

You can still see 13B on the new and old engine.

Nice Tirminyl, that's what mine looked like last Tuesday! LOL It took them a day and a half to drop old engine and put the new one in. She runs like a champ now!!!

I8U- Be sure to report how the engine feels, and the new flash in the "recall completed" thread.

The dealership is great and completely better than anyother dealership I have been too. Great bunch of guys. I guess that would be how I was able to go back and take pics. I was actually invited to watch it be pulled (and be put back in) but got there a little bit late.

Uses 13B housings if I remember, but it is also a 13B series motor like 13B-REW, 13B-DEI, or 13B-MSP (Renesis)

God, I wish. We even discussed it but now is a very bad time for me therefore, I cannot allocate the money to spend on a clutch or light weight flywheel. Of course I didn't think about this until it was already yanked out. Though, I also didn't plan on having a 30k mile car with a "0k" mile engine

Hmmm, so they just send a new "block"? They have to swap over the old intake manifold and other stuff?

Interesting.

Notice the new engine has the warning in English and French. The French has a Canadian Maple Leaf right above it.

I can't remember if the recall is official in Canada yet.
