3D RX-8 Progress...
Hey all. Just thought I'd keep anyone interested up to date on my progress with a 3D modeled RX-8. These things usually take a couple weeks to complete (interior not included), but between work and school, who knows how long it'll take. Blah...
This should work now...
*Edit*
Oops, forgot that geocities doesn't allow the direct picture thing. The link's been fixed.

You know, it's a lot easier if you just import the pics of the RX-8 from the profile and front, then model on top of that.
I notice that the vent behind the wheel on the side door isn't quite straight. Should save it for later after you turn on the curves, then cut out the vent using a preformed shape to keep the edges straight. At the bottom of the side vent, you'll notice that it's round, not rectangular.
Otherwise pretty nice.
A paid proffessional at needs at least a week to complete stuff like this, a hobbyist would need much more time.

Yeah, different programs work differently. I know that works very well in some, but the prog I'm using doesn't have a subdivision option. It's coming along nicely, tho.

I'm using Animation:Master for this. I'll be studying this type of stuff next semester, and will be using Maya then. I've only begun playing around with Maya, learning the most basic elements. What is this about a GTA3 RX-8?
BTW: If anyone has some large pictures, please let me know. I've got the pictures *necessary* to create this, but bigger pictures make my job easier. And I'm all about easy work! :D
