Joel...Sorry for thread jack bro but I thought you could help me with this too:

Anyone know the answer to this???

Question: on the 6 speed MT...do we have a bearing that the transmission input shaft rides on? From what my brother was reading online there is one but he is not sure what type.

Reason: he has a theory that the transmission issues can be attributed to a bad input shaft bearing. We are looking into rebuilding my current tranny to finally be done with the syncro BS that I keep running into but in his experience he's seen bad bearings cause the symptoms I am experiencing. This is literally my 2nd used tranny and about to be my third.

Any info you can provide will be much appreciated,

Chris

Perhaps I missed an extra question mark regardless my question was not answered and the solution you provided had little to no info bro. Perhaps you could explain further on the "upgraded tranny".

Either way I still need an answer:

No i don't think transmission problems are because of a input shaft bearing. You can PM and we can go into details..
