Edit: WOW, what an amazing difference the clamps do. Makes it look more Proper & Just ..... speechless. Do you have all the clamps on? How many do you have to go? Lol, my fault. When you have it all back in and installed you will step back and be amazed of how good it looks and how you would not have already done it. On a build so Highly Funded$$$ and 3 rotor and all, with that size turbo, its only expected to have Wiggins Clamps. Ive seen $90,000 GTRs with Greddy Bolt on kits running couplers with clamps....pretty cheap for that High Level of a "SUPER" car. Last thing you want people saying, especially for a SHOW&GO car like yours is "all that money, power and bling to have it held together with couplings and clamps?" Ya know what I mean...? I'm glad you did your homework on the clamps too, the ones the other guy had posted seemed like some T-Bolt style clamps usually used for water piping under pressure (we use them at work). looks badass Joel.

you have a really nice build going on!!
looking at your clean black intake pipes makes me want to paint or powder coat mine.
I find keeping the polished aluminum nice and scratch free is just too hard!!!

is it Satan Black powdercoated?

Its one of those projects that its done. But its never really done. I get bored sometimes and come up with new things to improve. Or like in this case i was told about the clamps. I looked into them and thought it would be a nice detail. And ofcourse that was the excuse of starting a whole new upgrade ordeal. With all new bigger pipping, new injectors, new rear end. Etc etc..

So, Question:
what is the purpose of the aluminium piping? and why so large? Dont you lose airflow?

Its all a matter of personal preferences. But to my understanding ( i can be wrong ) aluminum dissipates heat faster, its lighter and the ferrules, throttle, intercooler and turbo housing are aluminum therefor aluminum pipping is compatible for welding purposes. the size? I only followed the turbo outlet size. Does it lose airflow? It might, I cant get all technical about this, because to be entirely honest with you I wouldnt know where to start. So i guess I will have to wait to answer that, but as a side not, it is a huge turbo

Looks sick man!!! Losing airflow? That's crazy talk, that turbo could probably suck up most of Broward County at full tilt.

You following that RB26DETT build? Looks promising.

I just saw the thread like 30 mins ago. It does look promising, It looks like the guy is spending the money, and that usually is signs of a good build. But you know how it is with swaps. maybe 50% get finished.
BTW, thanks for the compliments. I am taking care of every detail little by little. I have enjoyed the car plenty and I feel he deserves the upgrades. lol lol

well yes and no. Aluminum heats up faster and cools faster than iron/steel/tit, but to cool it down you have to have airflow to draw the heat off. As for the size...you will have to let me know haha i think you will not get the compression you need but you might haha. Looks hella good and gives me an idea for my first swap ever. Keep it up and let me know how it preforms. :D
