2005 Nordic Green RX8

Greetings, fellow rotary owners! I decided to jump in on the bandwagon and take some pics of my RX8. It's an 05 manual that I got back in December of 2007. Coming from an IS300 (which unfortunately was lost in the canyons), the 8 is definitely a refreshing experience!

I don't have any pics of it under the hood but it's got a K&N Typhoon intake system and an Agency Power Exhaust. The exhaust really amplifies the awesome sound that rotaries produce.

Anyway, here are the pics.

Haha, you can thank the shiny wheels for seeing those! I tried driving with those on one time, wasn't as easy as with a nice pair of driving shoes, or even regular shoes.

Looks good, Try getting an account on www.photobucket.com so you can post the pictures full size on this page. Makes it easier for people to look at your car.

Nice ride! I'm thinking about getting that exhaust, but I'm concerned about the fitment and melting shroud problem. Have you had any trouble with yours melting? Also, is it too loud? I'm trying to decide between this exhaust and Racing Beat and I don't want it super loud, thanks for any input

my shrouds would not fit back on without touching the tips so i just left them off. its pretty loud if you use the midpipe that comes with it, but its not too bad if you keep the stock midpipe on.

To be honest the car already had the mods installed when I got her (all mazda certified). It is pretty loud so I'm sure it has the midpipe too.

Regarding the melting, I've noticed the plastic immediately above the tips is a tiny bit warped but it's barely noticeable. To contrast my buddy who had an FD with stock exhaust had problems with his plastic melting.

I wish I could record with any level of decent fidelity how it sounds. I was inclined to put the stock exhaust back on when I first got it but I've come to love the way she sounds. If you don't want loud, I'm sure there are other setups you can go with.
