this has been posted before by the way...anyway...the 8 would get killed and spanked in last place against these cars on tsukuba... the rx-8 has never done well on tsukuba against those other cars on all of the best motoring videos except when it was the MS RX-8...sad to say but true..the only other car the stock 8 beat on any of the best motoring videos is the miata mx-5..

Man, that Touge Showdown video was AMAZING !!! Thanks a lot for the link dude.

By the way, I'm interested at seeing more of those Touge Showdowns, are they like a segment in the BestMotoring shows or are they sold seperately ??? thanks.

o, i just got them from the caranddriver.com.hk forum... so i dont know where do they come from.

and for some reasons, the M3 always lost due the weight problem...or maybe suspension settings or something. furthermore, its a jap video...so... :/

the togue showdown is just a segment in the best motoring vids/dvds... if you want more action look for the "hot version" videos by option video...

Great Video! I love how the R34 GT-R was playing with those other care. And when it was time for it to compare straight line and corner exit speed. The R34 just walk away from the Z. Damm can't wait till the next generation GT-R hit our shore.

that whole Togue Showdown reminded me of Initial D...they even make some specific references to "japanese cartoons" which is clearly Initial D...

for those that don't know, Initial D is a story about a kid that races anyone and everyone with his Trueno or AE86...he beats everyone because he mastered drifting up and down the mountain passes by delievering Tofu for his dad, who used to be a racer himself...he takes on Civics, Silvias, Skylines, 3rd Gen RX-7s, Evos and more and beats them all using great technique which they actually describe in detail throughout the show...i think that whole scene where he uses the leaves and the embankment at the corner in order to slow down his car without using the brakes is from the cartoon

I like the way those races are run.
Very, for lack of a better word, "gentlemanly".
It isn't about shoving eachother off into the granola and bravado.
Rather, it is a chase and the winner is obvious, even though there is no passing.
