**HKS D1 Limited Edition Shift ******

I picked this shift **** up about a month ago but I finally got a round to taking pics of it. I've been through about 6 different shift ***** on all my cars but this one is my favorite.

This is the same shift **** that Nobuteru Taniguchi uses in the HKS S15.

The overall feel of the **** is very comfortable. My shifts feel more confident and direct. They come in two colors: White/Red and Black/Red

If you have BLK/RED interior it would go perfect in your ride. There are only a few left so if you want one order it now!!!

http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=2183

It looks really cool at night. When the dome light is on all you see is the HKS Red insignia glowing straight at you. This is also a "True" 6-speed shift ****. The label says so itself! Enjoy.

Not bad.

But even with all the cool aftermarket shiftknobs out there, IMO you just can't beat the stock rotary shiftknob for the RX-8.

Some people don't like how it feels. I like the flat back end of the stock shift **** because it is perfect for pushing when shifting to third, and the top fits right between the joints in my fingers when going to second.

It's a little awkward to hold, but it shifts well if you do like you are supposed to and don't hold it while shifting.

the label on the top of the **** actually acts as grip..to tell you the truth, I actually slipped twice when shifting while using my stock ****...

Nice! Thanks for posting this deedubb! I've been getting pissed at my shift **** lately coz it's hard for me to shift even when not speeding. I want a ball **** now and this one looks like the perfect candidate.

BTW, does our shifter accept pretty much every M/T shift **** out there or is there a specific size for it?

Standard size.

Most gearknobs come with inner sleeves so you can tailor fit it to your car.

Back to the HKS gearknob, looks good, very ergonomical design but not my cup of tea.

I much prefer Greddy: http://www.hopupracing.com/gralshkn.html

pretty much i think it does...it is the standard size... to me, this **** actually makes shifting a little easier than the stock **** even when driving slow...

I've been looking at that Greddy **** too but I wasn't sure what size I could buy to fit my shifter. Is it M12?

Most Mazda manual shift ***** are M10x1.25. The HKS shift ***** are available in 3 different sizes (M10x1.25, M10x1.5 & M12x1.25) to fit most Japanese vehicles.
