There is nothing wrong with 350/370's price, its just that people these days are NOT looking for sports cars. They're looking for "Bang for buck" deals.

And of course you just gotta know what a dealership is thinking, how they want to screw you, basically you have to bait them, and Im not afraid to "low-balling" them. Hey its my money, my lost, their gain, and I dont like that.

Many people just afraid of doing that and what happen? they just getting ripped off.

if you believe in Edmund's "prices/TMV" then I guess you should really stop typing and start walking.

For the record, there is no "buy/financing" 1000 dollars bonus for RX-8. Its only for "LEASING." Please check your source first
Yea I had a 93 SER I got for about 2k under invoice and a Maxima after that for about 4k under so I know deals can be had depending on your timing who you know, and what car you are looking at. 7k off a 350 ( or 370 as they no longer list the standard sport on edmunds ) on a base model is about 6k under invoice which is outstanding. But I don't think this is the norm. Was the deal for any 350 on the lot or a particular one? Using a trade in?

In general I think you should be able to beat edmunds by about 1k or so... but again it depends on the car. If it's selling, you aint getting no deal.

not particular one, the guy just told me if I do it today (typical sales tone), I get to pick anyone off the stock minus 7K off, sign and drive it away. no BS. can do either Cash or Financing.

It was very temping. But I dont need another Car (gf would kick my ***) and it doesnt make any sense to have like 4 cars under my name. so I was like nah, maybe some other time.

but your're right, it really depends on the correct timing. Some friend told me(used to work in dealerships, both domestic and foreign), and taught me some of the tactics. and first thing he told me was, people who listened/look at sites like Edmunds/KBB are the ones that they love. go figure

Edmunds seems gets you to a good "starting point"

but again, depends on the car. When I got the Lexus it was pretty tough to get invoice. New model car that it was at the time, and selling well before the economy tanked.

The quicker you can get to a car that hits the lot then the dealer has the least amount of money in it. Used to be you could check the inspection sticker but... no more stickers, at least not in my state.
