Washington Times Reviews the RX-8
They're a little bit behind the times (no pun intended ) since they review the 40th Anniversary Edition instead of a new 2009.

Still, they sum it up by saying "It's easy to operate, tenacious in the turns, comfortable on the open road. And, with that rotary engine singing its sweet song, the RX-8 offers a driving experience like no other."
So they seem to have liked it.

They report 0-60 in less than 6 seconds. I don't care personally, but it seems weird that 0-60 times vary so much from one review to the next. But yes, excellent review, and the author definitely touches on the car's best feature, which is how great it is to just drive.
