Are the people who are claiming the Z06 can't handle well serious?

The Z06 handles extraordinarily well...

believe it or not, I just tried Z06 3 days ago,

Ford GT nope.

but Im sure Ford GT handles alot better than Z06.

Cuz seriously, Z06 suck at handling, sure its fun to do straight line. but Corners its freaking scary. I tried to turn at 60 mph, which I can do easily on my 8 with its uber soft suspension. For some reason Z06 maybe due to its too high horse, my 25 yrs of memories just flashed in front of my eyes and I thought that I am going to die.

All Z06 has is horse, just like all corvettes. Well I admit that they put alot of work at other areas. but still, horse is still the first thing they have(and just like most of the american home made cars, aka muscle cars, high horse and nothing else, Viper SRT-10, for reference.)

Maybe they should learn something from Ford GT. Which is a great car, about the same hp but alot better than Z06. (but it cost almost like twice as much... so ...)
what was the degree of the corner that you tried??

I've only simulated those cars on gran turismo and such. They can definitely turn, but hard to control once it slips, hahaha.

ITs around 70~80 degree maybe ? I hope I got it right.

That time the Rear has no traction (Z06), again might have something to do with the 505 HP.

Not saying its bad. It can make up the lost on straight. but still really scary.

Hmm well... I've never driven the Z06 but I had an '02 vette coupe for a couple of years. I thought it handled very much like my rx-8 handles now. That's why I wanted the rx-8, feels alot like my vette did but doesn't cost $1600 for new tires every other year and the sticker price is half.

Power, of course is no match.

MPG is no match. I averaged 31mpg on the highway and 22 in the city in the Vette.

But if I was going to the track I'd take a Vette over any other production car at the Vette's price point. That's the real kicker, for 50k you can run with most exotics and beat a good deal of them.

Please don't get the wrong impression. I love my 8, it's a blast to drive.

The Car & Driver drivers commented that the new Z06's handling is a bit scary. They actually rated the new Viper as more controllable. So I think there is a bit of agreement over here. I have driven the previous generation Z06, and while it was nice (also drove the regular Vette) it wasn't a particularly fun car around a very tight track (Streets of Willow). The Vette drivers (who I let drive my 911) were pretty happy when they got out of my 911. The Vettes were nice, but felt ponderous, and while you know you had lots of grip, it felt sloppy in the corners. It was like snap giveaway once you past the limit.
