I'm not going to read all of these pages, but from what I have read, there is obviously a problem between the 8's and the Mazda dealerships? If anyone has the video, that would be amazing, for I am looking into buying an 8 myself ((currently own an '07 3))

 

^the video is old, and was followed up with Mazda's "White Glove Treatment" voluntary recall. IMO, it's a fun watch to see how tarded MNAO execs are, but shouldn't really affect your decision on the 8. If you've got a good relationship w/your Mazda dealership you're in good shape.

Thanks for the update Zoom44. Nice to know that if I ever darken the door of a stealership again, my angst will be properly documented. Of coarse at 90k miles on my '04 that's pretty much not gonna happen

Yeah, I got it but honestly, it's not THAT interesting. Basically, you pretty much got the gist of it from this thread. Just two dudes talking and the little 8-related information was discussed to death here.

Mazda just released a new extended warranty program for the rx8's! the rotary housing, internals and core components are now covered for 8 years or 160 000 Km. this is applicable to 2004 models as well!
