What is most disturbing in the debate in the US over global warming (and other issues) is that people stake out positions with no interest in the science or any facts which might be available. They tend to take a position and only look to whatever supports their position. Starting with a conclusion is not science or even good discourse.
I recently went to an exhibit at the Museum of Natural Science. It showed that the temp fluctuations to date are NOT outside the temp variation of the past hundred years or so. HOWEVER, CO2 levels have jumped by 400-500 percent and I doubt anyone would seriously argue that the jump in Co2 levels are not due to human activity. So the question seems to me one of what impact on the environment that jump in Co2 levels can make both now and in the future.

for arguments about climate change go find the thread in the lounge. i for one have posted evidence from reliable scientists that show the jump in CO2 levels is primarily from non human sources. but you'll have to find it OVER IN THAT THREAD. as the debate in this thread is over.

Japan newspaper also tells Mazda will stop selling RX-8 in Europe
I am not sure if this is from Mazda official source though, one of Japanese major newspaper, Sankei-newspaper also tells today Mazda will stop selling RX-8 in Europe because it can not adapt to Euro 5.

Umm......
It was revealed on May 7 that Mazda will stop selling RX-8, which is a rotary engine sports car, in European market because the car does not adapt to Euro-5, new emission regulation.
European model is now being produced in Mazda HQ in Japan but the production will stop in this June then the selling of European model will end as soon as the stock is depleted. But Mazda still continues to sell RX-8 other than European countries such as U.S. and Japan.
The sales number of RX-8 in Europe in 2009 was 1,128 while 18,525 RX-8s were sold in Europe in 2004.
Emission regulation is getting harder worldwide, Honda will also stop selling Civic Type-R, 4 door sporty sedan, by the end of August. Car makers are going to shift eco-car such as hybrid cars.
