It looks like a two door R3 RX-8... I'll probably buy one in the second model year in the US. The first model year is always plagued with problems and has no aftermarket support, the second model year is generally a sweet spot with early adopters offering support and working out the initial bugs. I really hope they have a turbocharged option for the car though... I don't feel like waiting the 5+ years its taken for the RX-8 for a reliable FI solution. Even a low boost turbo option would do wonders for the car's popularity among the tuning crowd.
The Tokyo show is in October, so I think this is another case of "It's in a Japanese mag so it's gotta be true".
As much as I liked the Nagare stuff, it's time for an actual preview of a production car, not something they want to do in 20 years.

Just another photochop. There is a lot of different "sources" generating photochops though which makes me wonder if there could be some truth to another rotary car being released in a couple of years. Is this just a bunch of false hope or is there some truth to these rumors and these "sources" are getting some inside info?
If they build it they will have to a have a direct injected engine just meet emissions standards. Hopefully its the 16X, but I hope it doesn't bring the car into the 40K price range. I'll also be waiting to buy a used '13
Not to take away from the 8, but anyone notice the blue toyota supra looking car below the the lexus supercar?
That could be intresting. If that comes back Mazda will have to bring an FI to the party to retain it's share of the performance market.
