R&T's Long-Term Road Test of the RX8 comes to an end...
~Road & Track finishes out their 50,000 mile road test of their 2004 Mazda RX-8~
I just got my Oct. '06 R&T magazine in the mail today and there are a few mentionings of our beloved 8. They drove it 50k and give their breakdown on the car. This month's issue is also the "What's new for 07" and the RX8 gets a mention of 2 new colors coming out along with the normal review.... To be continued...
(I've gotta go to class at the moment, Boo, but I'll post more afterwards.)

the other one was the brake squeal TSB, which is not a voluntary 'recall' per se, and the dipstick TSB, which also isn't technically a recall either
other than those 3 things, car has never had to be taken back to dealer for *any* under-warranty repairs, i am very impressed with how well my car is holding up

I agree with ZoomZoomH. I have had my car for 2 years and 30K miles. I have only received 3 recall notices. One for the ball joint, one for the fuel tank/heat shield and the latest emissions recall. I have also had to take her in for warranty service 2 times, once to have the leaking tail lights replaced, and once to have the leaky battery replaced.
I used to own a 1998 Dodge Ram and that thing was in the shop at least once every 3 months for some kind of recall or warranty issue. Also owned a Ford Taurus that ended up getting bought back under the lemon law, and a Honda Accord that I eventually donated to charity because it was such a POS.
ALL makes/models of cars have problems. SOME of the manufacturers take ownership of the problems, some don't. Clearly Mazda is one that does.
