I think it looks better in pictures than the previous version, can't wait to see it in person. From what I have heard, version 2 has become very popular in Japan and is selling quite well...

I know ash. I've ordered mine from Japan since mid-March and my car has just come out of the factory 2 weeks ago, seems like early demand is pretty high. My car should arrive in about 2 weeks or so, I'll be sure to take pics and post it on the forum.
What about you? Placed your order yet?

The next model is always the better unit to buy, I am still a little disappointed with it's looks but it is growing on me, I think the new sparkling black will look great, never had a black car before, Have always like the red and storm blue (don't know if that is available).
I don''t think I will get the GT, it will probably be $5K more here and I don't think it is worth it for the Bilstiens, wheels and seats.
I will go for the fully loaded 6 speed without sunroof...and I will own it out right...I intent to keep it for a long time. As I believe this may be the last rotary for a while. Hope I am wrong.

Mazda Australia have not released prices, I think many dealers still have Anniversary models , I know my local has had the same car on the floor for 6 months!

Excellent! Good to hear. At first, I wasnt too impressed with the looks either, but it has definitely grown on me, I think it looks sharper, cleaner, and more aggressive. And another plus point---it's going to be even rarer than the previous version!!
Oh and I think it is going to look much better in person than in the photographs (true for all rx8s)

The back, however, will never do it for me, and I'll always think they fkd it up. The old lights are some of the best I've ever seen. <3
