New RX-7
The upscale sibling of the Ford Freestyle, the Volvo XC90, is getting a V-8 this year and speculation is that the Freestyle will follow. Given that the 500 is from the same platform, speculation is that it, too, may get a V-8, though probably not the XC-90's torque tuned version.
In any event, given the incredible success of the Chrysler 300 suburban security vehicle, I would be very surprised if Ford doesn't drop a V-8 into the 500. GM will undoutedly follow with its own version in 2016.

Point of clarification--Only the C designation is applied to 300s with the Hemi--and 0-60 time of the 250HP V6 variant of the 300 is in the 8s--not 9s--in fact I've never seen it tested in the 9s in any publication. http://chrysler.jbcarpages.com/300/2005/index4.php have the 0-60 time listed at 8.0sec. Thankfully the dowdy 500 has a CVT and does get the power to the ground efficiently.
Nice find Jump120MPH. RX-7 as a 2006 model and a bigger rotary (1.6 with a higher redline). That should make for some nice RX-8 upgrades with all that R&D and retooling from the fire. Does anyone know how that kw translates into hp?
