I like that front minus the fogs better than the current MS front and anyother kit actually.

Maybe Mazda ISN'T going to build that 8.
Think about this. Why would Mazda make a new version of a vehicle that has sold very well so soon? Also the 8, even though it is still pretty new, is very refined. There isn't much to do to it ... except bump up the power. Almost every review on the 8 says the same thing; the RX8 is beautiful, can out handle any car in it's class, but suffers in only one area, power.
What if Mazda is not so much testing a vehicle, but testing a part? What if this car is just a test mule for that part? We all know it's supercharged. Maybe this thing is testing a future blower we can pick up from Mazda, with warranty, and bolt that sucker on.
I know Mazda has made MS versions of their cars (the Protoge, the 3, the 6, Miata), but all those cars have a lot of weaknesses stock when compared to the 8 stock. Well with the exception of the Miata, but still the 8 is HARD to improve upon. It would be more cost effective to develop a blower for the 8 than design, build, test, and ship an entirely new version of a car that can make an M3 think about a few things on a windy road coarse. If the power were bumped up, it would be a nightmare of a car, a TRUE track ready car. Add the MS suspension pack and ................ just imagine. :D :D :D

While the specs say that the MS6 can get to 60 in 6.2seconds I have no doubts that it can hit 60 in as little as 5.6 seconds--don't underestimate the all-wheel drive launch capabilities. The car will handle nowhere near that of the RX8 though--its a pig.

Incredible looking 8 though, I'm still trying to get the drool out of my keyboard.

that bumper is like the 99spec 3rd gen RX-7 bumper! Maybe it will become standard on the 2nd generation RX-8 with a supercharged model as an option in the near future. If the RX-8 is availible exactly like that car minus the fog lights, Ill do anything for one!

I wonder if you can buy the rear taillights after/if the car is released. I've been wanting to black them out for my car for a while now, but didn't know how to get it done.

I didn't say that, but the car was at RB for quite a while. RB did some development work for Mazda on this project... I did say that it was up on the board at the RB Open-House at SS-7.
