I wonder if they will offer a module for the existing RX-8. I was considering purchasing the mini-disc player but maybe I should wait. I'd much rather have Sirius.

If you hear anything, let me know. I would much prefer this over the mini-disk or an MP3.

Do you know if it will use the same slot as the mini-disc player? I'm wondering if I should hold off on buying that.

Most likely the Sirius receiver will be somewhere else in your car. Mine is currently (OEM) in the trunk. The car is wired for the Sirius so the information shows up on my radio display.

In essence, you should still have the option to get a minidisc/MP3/CD whatever along with the Sirius.

And since I have it on my car now, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

The common thought is "Who would pay for radio?" I believe the same was said for TV, cable, satellite TV, etc. Look who's got all of those now....

I've had sirius in 2 vehicles and listen to it all day at work on my computer. I have wanted to get in in the RX-8 but hate the tackiness of the plug and plays and do not like modulators, do not like the wires and NOTHING on my windsheild. So I have just listed to CD's and getting tired of those.

I will be so thrilled to have it as a factory unit, sound quality is so much better.
