uh... My starter car was a JDM STi. Gaudy of a car, but goes like stink. It is like an EVO but bit better interiors. When I was younger, bi-winged car with holes on the hood didn't bother me. t was a starter performance car to me. Then I grew up, I now have an rx-8. For me, the poise and finesse of a well balanced RWD car trumps a grippy AWD car starts off with grip, then understeers then oversteers spectacularly.

I've had my 8 since Oct 2003. I still love it. The car is a pleasure to drive. I usually replace my cars every three years or so, yet I have no intention of replacing my 8 in the foreseable future. The 8 on the street is a beautiful thing.

I am just pointing out that the platform of the 8 is different from sti's and evos even though it has 4 doors and could seat 4 people - in response to the argument that the 8 is not a "true sports car".
Personally, I appreciate both the 8 and the evo - they are 2 different cars with some really good similarities... they are ideal daily drivers that could outperform cars twice the amount. so its all good
