It's interesting that the Renesis is hand assembled.. Would you say this will make it a better quality product or less?
Frankly, I think it will make it a better quality product; at any rate, hand made sounds a lot snazier:D

Balanced engine

I bet that an Inline 6 or either configuration of V12 would do it, 60 or 180 degree.

Spinning an engine isn't the same as placing load on it. V6 engines spin freely with minimal vibration under no load, but loaded up is another matter.

There isn't any inherent balance to the Wankel engine. Two counterweights are used to offset the rotors. Making sure the center of mass of the rotor is actually in the center isn't something new.

The rotary definitely wins in the smoothness department, this is one of the reasons I'm dying to test drive one asap.
Oh yea, I remember those MotoringXX shows. I hope I'll see someone doing the coin test with the RX-8 engine sometime in the future.

But guys, I'm too a big Rotary Engine fan and knows all the benefits of the Rotary engine design, but come on, you have to admit, there are some pretty sweet pistons engine out there.

Take the Lexus V8, many times they did the champaign glass pyramid test with the engine going at 6,000+ RPM. That is some fine fine Japanese engine for sure. You gotta appreciate that if you even remotely like cars.
