I keep trying to give the car show a chance despite adam. So I watched a couple more episodes on hulu (the sans John Sally era) and they discussed the end of the rx-8 in their zero to 60 segment....


It made me want to smack carolla even more than I already do. Also it seemed like dan neil was holding back. I remember him liking the rx-8 in his written review.

I watch The Car Show and personally I like it but the show is too short and they try to put too much in each episode and then they go on and on talking about worthless stuff. But all in all it is a good show.

The RX8 ugly comment. I laughed when I heard it because there was a time when I thought the RX8 was ugly, or more specifically parts of it looked funny to me. It is a car that grows on you and when modified with a more aggressive wheel/tire and body kit it can look gorgous.

 

I thought it had potential but I just can't stand adam carolla. All his jokes are kind of the same stale left over crap from the man show. I like dan neil and matt farah. And in truth I kind of liked john sally even though he didn't have a lot of car related experience.

 

anyone know why it went from an hour long show with John Sally to a thirty minute show without him. It was way better at an hour and four hosts.

 

Um and you guys care about his opinion because why? It's an opinion. He's entitled to it. People here have mentioned the Cube and Aztec as ugly. Those are opinions. There are people that like them. I personally don't be that's ok. My opinion doesn't matter to those owners in the same way Adam Carolla's shouldn't matter to any of you. The RX-8 isn't an ugly car but it's certainly not gorgeous. <<<That was an opinion too btw. Not liking his show because his opinion of your personal car isn't that high is a pretty dumb reason.

 

That show is a feeble, slapped together imitation of BBC's Top Gear, as is the American version.

Undoubtedly, some marketing genius noted Top Gear's huge popularity in Britain and thought "wow, there's tons of car nuts right here; a huge market, just waiting to be tapped!" What they didn't factor in was the easygoing wit, charm and charisma of the three BBC hosts, who also share a wonderful chemistry that's difficult to match.

 

I like the show quite a bit. And who cares if he thinks the RX-8 is ugly... Visual asthetics are subjective, and it's just fine if his opinion is different than ours. (I have no doubt that there are lots of people who think the RX-8 is an ugly car.)

Besides, differing opinions are what make talk shows interesting. If I agreed with every single topic they addressed, it'd be the most boring thing I'd ever watched.

 

This idiot looks like Bucky the Beaver and a lousy driver. Missed the shift in the Mustang when they were running the new pony cars on the track.
Speed could do much better than this dork. Also his voice irritates me. Quit watching after the RX-8 comments. GEEEEZ!

 

And I am free not to watch this azz clown again.

I just love the fact that this is coming from a guy who has a crapy car show, name the car show, and in the last two show that I saw, there were trying to compare three car and he wreck them both!!! As for the Rx8, It one of the best looking car from japan and every were I go, i always get a "Great looking car", and I sped a good ten minutes talking about it!!!

 

Top Gear (a real car show) didn't really care for the design either, but they did praise the 8 for its performance value. Oh well, whether celebrity car enthusiasts like the design or not, I rarely go a day without someone complimenting my rx8.
