Edmunds has RX-8 depreciation forecast in US dollars for the next 5 years and compares it to Infiniti G37.

2009 Mazda RX-8 Grand Touring 4dr 6 Manual, resale values by year:

2009 Infiniti G37 S Sport 2dr Coupe 6 Manual, resale values by year:

So a 2009 RX-8 is estimated to lose about $19,900 of its resale value in 5 yrs, while a G37 loses just a bit more ($22,600) in same period. But note they also give the average cost per mile, again the RX-8 fares slightly better at $0.75/mile vs. $0.82 for the G37. Not to mention that they estimate you'll be paying about $9,000 more up front for the G37.

 

another skewed way to look at that is if you subtract the 9k (which you had to pay in sales price) then the big G is only worth $10,200 in trade at year 5 vs owning the 8
