2) Even if it was, the skidpad is only an indicator of handling. You can make several muscle cars attain 1.0 on the skidpad with the right suspension/tires setup, but they'll still handle poorly on the road.

I'd gladly take the Impreza STI engine in place of the rotary, or at least the torque from the STI. But as far as looks, the 8 wins easily.
