So, I finally got an RX8 - after many months of browsing the forum. I got a 2008 Stormy Blue GT with 23K Miles for 18K + T&T. I got at a Stealership, so I'm not quite sure if I got shafted or not. I'm leaning to just the tip, as per Edmunds and KBB.

I am also looking for the previous owner as I have a few question pending questions. Particularly, why the car was at a collision shop. Car Fax only said vehicle serviced, but not until recently did I find out why. Any ways, car was originally bought and regularly serviced at North Penn Mazda near Lansdale, PA. If any one might know...well, let me know!

 

Did you check the carfax before you bought it? Because usually if a car was at a collision shop, it's been in an accident.

 

welcome...... you are looking for the previous owner..... maybe if you post pics and where you got it from..... not sure if that would even help. It will be hard to find the PO unless the car has been modified and its not like every thousands of rx8 that are out there in the road.

 

Thanks! And yeah, you're right. It's a slim chance to find out, but worth the try. I bought the Car at a Toyota dealership in Hatfield, PA.

I did see the car fax, but it listed no accidents. I found out about it after calling the places where the car was serviced according to the Carfax. They wouldn't tell me what was done due to "Privacy reasons". I also called Mazda and they did mention something about fender work. But after receiving the service records from them, I saw nothing about it. I'll call them back on Monday.

 

You could try to ask your local DMV for the previous owner of that vehicle your asking for. Not exactly sure if you could do that, but try anyway. You might get lucky...who knows.

 

Yeah, but to be honest I'm not too worried. Car looks and feels just fine. I guess if it was something serious, they did a good job (so far anyways). BTW, do you guys think I did good on the price?
