As I was coming home from work yesterday sitting at a light, I noticed a Black 8 pass by me the other direction heading left to right. Then I saw a blue one on the other side of the intersection making a right turn. THEN I saw another blue 8 heading the same direction as the first black one!!! The second blue one had one of those giant carbon fiber spoilers on it.

That was one lucky intersection....it got to see 4 RX-8's in the span of about 15 seconds.

 

other than dealerships and my parking lot at work, i've only seen 1 rx8 driving around since I bought mine a month ago.

 

thats cuz mine is in the wrecker yard. Will be getting back this weekend with a new one. Hope you see me soon.

I live in Dallas GA too. What color is/was your 8? I have seen a few black ones. I was honked at by a yellow one this past Friday night as I was going thru the intersection of 120 and Mars Hill Road. I drive a bone stock auto winning blue with both front and rear rotary accents and some gutter guard oil screen covers.

 

I've seen two 8's right behind each other going the other direction down a street before (so there were 3 8s including mine). Another time I was behind another 8 and I saw an 8 come down the street the other side.

I see them somewhat often. Most 8 owners don't seem to acknowledge others around here (most of them aren't looking when I see their cars). Except once I was in Orange/VP a month or two ago and filling gas. Some guy walking into the cashier area gives me the thumbs up. I gave him a very confused look since I had no idea if he was giving me or some random guy behind me (which I found out there wasn't after I looked checked behind me) the thumbs up. Then he pointed to a parking spot to a Titanium 8 and it suddenly made sense.

 

That's funny. When our group gets together for track event weekends in the SE (you GA people really ought to join us next time), we often travel around in packs of five to ten of us the entire weekend. From the morning startup at wafflehouse to dinners where ever, we get some real bad cases of rubber necking and over hear all sorts of comments while parked at various places. Sometimes we just hang out from afar and watch. It's a hoot!

 

About 2 months ago I saw another blue MSP going the opposite direction I was going. :p

I saw a black 8 yesterday. Made my day...I should have followed him :D

 

That's crazy man, they're pretty scarce in my hometown and even at school. Occasinally I'll see one on the road but 4 in one intersection! That's pure madness, but good madness :p

How about this? I pulled up at an intersection in Boca, first spot at the light with 3 lanes in my direction. Next to me was a blue 8. Next to him was white. Wish I had a camera:-) Other then that, I see one maybe once or twice a week. They don't seem very common around here.

 

What's with this RX-8 is so rare thing. There's three 8s including mines in a two block radius of my house. There's another 2 in my unlces apartment complex, there's also 2 in my brother's apartment garage. And lastly, there's one 8 three door down from my girls house. That's just counting the places I visit weekly, not counting the college parking lot I go to(I should go to school more often). The RX-8 IS a very popular car. BELIEVE IT. I'll even list the location if someone wants to check it, 3 (sliver{me}, black, blue) in North Quincy, MA . 2 (red and grey) in Quincy, MA . 2 (red and blue) in Copley Plaza, MA. and one (red) in Jamaica Plain. For all those who don't know Masschusetts well, all these places are within 8 miles of each other. =)

 

I live in a small town compared to most on here , only seen a couple around here . One Silver pulled up when I was getting gas , it was a auto .. I smiled at them and they didn't smile back . I had to laugh , their kids were looking out the window at my car ! Daddy ... you should have got a M/T !
