I have actually got in the habit of taking a pic with my cell of license plate of a "Suspect" car next to me when I go in somewhere...

This is one of my greatest pet peevs. I sometimes am opening my door and getting out like a contortionist to avoid even bumping someone's vehicle...

Some people just do not give s ****!!!

I saw an episode of Judge Judy where a person's car was dinged by another person right in front of them and the offender said "Oh well that comes with owning a car"... Needless to say ole JJ ripped them a new a$$...

My 09 got a dime sized dent about 10 days after I bought right where the doors meet. I was furious at first but now I kinda like it. One dent keeps the rest away

^Or you go the other route and get enough dings so that you cannot distinguish a new one

Angry

But even if you park well away from the 'commoners' you can still get crunched, as in my case this week. They just kept backing up an inordinate distance.

Unfortunatly the world is full of uncaring a-holes, so our cars are always in dangers way. The only way to completely protect your car is to keep it in the garage.

finally today send my 8 to the workshop...

I went home to run some errands and came back in the pm...

the guy just put some kind of cement on top of the dent, dried it (good thing the weather was hot n shiny ) and smooth...

hopefully done by tomorrow...

later that day I went to visit my 8 again n found that she was already in the oven for painting...yes!!!.......

I got a tiny ding on my passenger side door a few months back. really pissed me off. I swear we should get some of us engineers together and build my idea of a shock-sensitive anti-vehicle turret machine gun mounted on the car.

That stinks. Someone grazed my rear bumper couple of years ago. Thing is, to most people a car is merely an appliance. A scratch on your car—or their own car—is the same as a scratch on their new vacuum cleaner or dishwasher. No big deal.

I discovered a ding on a new car many years ago. Went in to work all upset and pissed off. Guy I worked with asked what's the matter. I told him my new car got a ding. He shrugged his shoulders and said "my whole car is a ding".

You're right… people no longer have respect for other people's belongings. Or, for that matter, for other people.

Hope it looks great when it's fixed!

Yeah that line always seems to get hit by doors. Happened to me too.

Mine just got scratched. Not a door ding but a massive scratch. It looks like someone attacked it with zippers or buttons walking in between my car and the other... It doesn't look bad enough to be a key. Luckily most of the 2ft long scrap didn't go completely through the paint... The best part is they managed to get both doors with parallel lines...

There was the only other white rx-8 in the city parked a couple stalls away too! Two 07's with the 'performance package' (MS cai and MS wheels (off the ms6 though)). Mine is modded a bit though, perhaps jealousy?
