I was parking near some local shop, next to this big car, i couldn't remember what was it now, my memory sucks... but im sure it was like a 4x4 or a van or something...
I parked quite far away from that car (at least I thought I was) to prevent that car to hit my car when he opened the door too much...
After about 10 to 15 mins I came back and another car has parked next to me (a suzuki swift). I wanted to go another shop, so I put the things I bought into the passenger's seat. When I close the door, I was really shocked bcos what I feared before came true and the big car which parked next to me before has left a big scratch (about 5 mm wide and 20mm long) and also dented my car.... I shouted WTF!!!! and cursed and cursed until I arrived home....
So, in the afternoon I went to the Mazda dealer and looked for the saleswoman who sold my RX8 to me and she gave me the phone no. of the workshop which deals with their cars exclusively. Then I phoned the guy and came to the workshop... he said it costs about approx. US$120 to fixed it... I didn't care how much it cost as long as my baby is fixed like new....
So since tomorrow is public holiday, I'll send my RX8 to the workshop on Thursday... which means I'll miss my New RX8 this weekend.... waaaaa

 

whoever did this probably drives a 350z, there all d!cks

 

i wish it was so i can blame someone for it but im pretty sure it was a big car... those huge mutherf*ker!!!

 

i get free paint for life from the dealer. but the dent would drive me insane. i had a dent on the V on my old hood that made me go out and buy a cf hood. haha

 

how the hell do you get free paint for life ?

 

next time someone park next to me, i'll note down his plate no. and car type hehe.... i'm gonna keep a log book in my RX8 haha... this way if anything happen again, i'll know who to call hahaha...

 

My bumper got dented and one exhaust surround cracked just yesterday, and I wasn't anywhere near another car. Allot of careless (in the true sense of the word) people out there. It really sux!

I try to be so considerate of others when parking next to them, but so many people are careless. I hate them.

Whenever i have to open a door for someone in the back seat I always put a finger inbetween my car door and the adjacent car door JIC my passenger grabs the door or something.

 

it's crazy cuz I go out of my way to avoid other cars and yet it still happens, it's unavoidable but I have a dent on my front bumper right under my emblem and I can't figure out how someone could do that at that location....

 

You'll get used to it buddy... I don't park anywhere near any of the commoners anymore.

 

On a hot day. use an upside down air can. Spray. Freezez metal. Dent pops out.

Buff that baby, looks like most of it will get out.

it happened to me too after i got my bimmer back in 1999. some ******* mercedes' rear driver-side door not only dinged my door, but by the marking u could tell the driver was backing up when it happened.

it's always painful when the car is still new.

Well, people are just a$$holes man. A few years ago, I went to the mall in my 1990 Caddy (it was in superb condition, perfect bodywork, etc....) Anyways, come back and see some ******** decided to key the car from front to back.. really pi$$ed me off

 

Hell, I had a crazy ex key the SH*t outta my old car. Just glad it wasn't my 8

I always park in the farthest spot possible where no one else parks just so that doesn't happen. Even if there are cars that far out, usually they are nice cars so I know they have the same worries as I do so I know she is safe

 

I feel your pain, I use my mobile phones digital camera and photograph all licens plates next to my RX-8, Allways.

Some day it will be usefull I hope.

 

I stopped going to Walmart just for this fact....too many ppl.....too crowded.....carts are left everywhere and actually hit my car and left a good scratch......stupid morons

 

More like, lets hope that that someday will never come.

 

Only problem is; you cannot prove that another car parked there, hit your car, and then left before you got back. Only thing that would "help" is if they left some paint residue on your car for color matching.
